DALLAS - Despite outscoring the Dallas Stars 21-6 in the second half, New York was never able to erase a 20-point third quarter deficit in a 26-21 loss to Dallas. Stars free safety A.J. Ahanotu intercepted New York's Joseph Redfeather twice in the final four minutes.

Dallas got production at key moments from all of their offensive weapons in a complete team effort. Thomas Ranklins had 281 passing yards, Johnny English had 109 rushing yards, Scott King had 120 receiving yards and tight end Asante Doleman made a crucial catch in double coverage late in the fourth quarter to set the Stars up in field goal range late, giving Dallas a 26-21 lead. Dallas even got 51 yards out of their fullback.
