MINNEAPOLIS - San Francisco kept it close for three quarters but eventually on Bark in the Park night, the Bulldogs were sent home silent as Minneapolis won their fifth-straight game, 42-23. Owner/coach Thomas Paterniti is now 13-0 all-time in the regular season. Three times in the game San Francisco trailed by 11, 14-3, 21-10 and 28-17 but could never bridge the gap.
James Cooley absolutly destroyed his former team. He accounted for 276 yards on 16 receptions for 3 scores. Ayanojyo Aburatsubo (17 catches, 153 yards, 2 TD's) and Donald Miller (14 receptions, 142 yards, 1 TD) continue to make quarterback Rocco Marconi look good, who had his third 600+ yards, 6+ touchdowns performance of the season, which previously had never been done.
San Francisco's offense didn't have a bad night. Quarterback Jasper Hart carried a better rating than Marconi (137.1 to 128.5), going 22-for-32 for 357 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His performance now ranks him as the second most effecient quarterback in the league, behind Marconi. Tight end Asante Doleman was the best tight end of the SFL's Week 6 slate (3 receptions, 139 yards, 1 TD) and had one of the plays of the year in the second half, throwing aside two Mauler safeties on his way to the end zone. San Francisco's and former Mauler Bradford Unsicker led all players with 9 tackles.
