GRAND RAPIDS - Monday, Grand Rapids got their first home win in franchise victory, 32-21 over long-time rival Kyle Walsh and the Orlando Intimidators in the eighth Walsh Bowl, which dates back to 2009. It’s Eric Walsh’s second SFL Walsh Bowl victory in 2013.

Owner Eric Walsh finally got the balance from his offense that he was searching for. Running back David Badha has been on a tear recently and could be the best SFL back of the winter season. His 70-yard run to seal Orlando’s fate gave Badha 250 yards for the game, 10 short of the SFL single-game record set by Oklahoma City’s Pete Bruschi in last season’s Monday night opener at Tangiers Stadium. Not only did the Rollers have the running game going but quarterback Rocco Marconi got back on track in the passing game with balance, hitting tight end Marcus Campbell, Badha and receivers Donald Miller and Bobby Vesacaro all at least 4 times. Orlando quarterback Kevin Walker threw for 276 yards but tossed two costly interceptions in the match-up.
