OKLAHOMA CITY — Sunday, Kailua was the latest offense to get embarrassed by Oklahoma City, who won their ugly home opener 13-3. The Renegades limited the Wyverns to a field goal after Kailua put up nearly 40 points per game in their first two contests.

Pete Bruschi rushed for his first touchdown of the season but failed - for the third straight game - to reach 100 yards (95 yards on 36 carries). Adam Stackhouse had 8 tackles, 7 for loss, leading the way for Oklahoma City's defense, which has now allowed less than 200 yards of offense three straight weeks. Their victory forged a three-way tie for first place at 2-1.

For the second time in three weeks, Park HeeChul rushed for less than one yard per carry. Matsumoto completed just over 50% of his passes. Justin Saunders led the way on defense with 13 tackles, a new winter season high in the league. The Wyverns have two bye weeks in a row before facing Orlando February 1.
