INJURIES MUCK UP SW SHOOTOUT

DALLAS - Home field advantage continues to uplift the Stars. Despite being shut out in the second half, Dallas held on to a 26-17 victory over Oklahoma City Tuesday to improve to 3-2 on the season and 6-1 at home all-time.

The bigger news for Dallas though was troubling. Running back Johnny English tore his ACL and will be sidelined for four months, until the weekend of June 14th, which could impact English's future with the Stars and contracts offered to him in the future. Prior to his injury, English had rushed for 100 yards four straight games and had 2 TD's before departing against the Renegades. Oklahoma City knocked English out in Dallas' last game of the season last season. As of Friday, the Stars have not made any signings, suggesting they'll be a star down come kickoff Monday night in their home finale.

Oklahoma City lost wide receiver David Wagstaff for six weeks due to a pulled hamstring and have already parted with Wagstaff, who failed to reach the end zone this year in OKC's league-worst passing offense. The Renegades signed free agent Ayanojyo Aburatsubo to a $4 million, 2-year deal this week and will convert him to wide receiver in hopes of jump-starting quarterback Wes St. Clair, who has thrown 14 INT's to 2 TD's.

Dallas' Scott King had 156 yards receiving on 8 grabs and Pete Bruschi nearly led a second half comeback with 196 yards on 37 carries for 2 scores. It was the most carries for Bruschi in his SFL career.
