NEW YORK CITY - For at least one afternoon of the Winter 2014 season, we can at least say we saw the summer's MVP return to his old form. Joseph Redfeather threw for 7 TD's and over 500 yards, leading the Knights to a 52-42 victory over Grand Rapids in the highest scoring game in league history. Redfeather became the first quarterback to throw 7 TD's in a game.
Freeman Goodspeed recorded 21 receptions for 270 yards and three scores, the most receptions by a receiver in a game in league history. New York's average starting field position was their own 41, helping an offense that had been struggling leading up to the game.
Grand Rapids racked up 557 yards of offense in defeat. Tight end Marcus Campbell scored 3 TD's on 90 yards (10 receptions). Both Marconi and Redfeather completed 40+ passes. Grand Rapids and New York were tied at 21 before the Knights scored 21 straight points to pull ahead. The Rollers never were able to obtain a lead.
