SAN FRANCISCO - It's official: there will be a new champion crowned later this month, after the New York Knights were eliminated from playoff contention with a 35-24 loss to San Francisco Sunday.
Bulldog quarterback Jasper Hart passed for a career high 5 touchdowns in the win, accounting for all San Francisco scores. Receiver James Cooley had a season-high 232 yards on 11 receptions. Jordan Gray looked fresh, sacking Redfeather 2.5 times. Overall, the Bulldogs put reigning MVP Joseph Redfeather on his back 9 times.
Jake Legacy got back on the receiving leaderboards this week, accounting for 158 yards and a touchdown Sunday. Jeb Gatlin recorded 11 tackles, 4 assisted and 3 for a loss and nearly pulled ahead of Steven Lambert in the total tackles race. D.J. McCoo returned his third interception for a touchdown this year.
