SAN ANTONIO - Pete Bruschi was named Most Valuable Player by the SFL during the Twitch Championship Pregame, Sunday.

Bruschi totalled 1,309 yards and 11 touchdowns in the regular season, helping the Renegades to a 5-3 record and their second-straight second-place finish.

His 92 broken tackles was second most in the league and his yards per carry was number one among running backs that played a complete season (4.88).

Bruschi, at times, won the game all by himself. He had an SFL record 368 yards on 30 carries in a 28-26 win over Grand Rapids at home and then followed that performance up with 196 yards on the ground in a loss to Dallas.

He totalled 274 yards on an astounding 42 carries for 3 scores in a win over Dallas two games later. He was depended upon more than any other back in SFL history - 268 carries, while Wes St. Clair struggled through a rough campaign.
