ORLANDO — After the defense failed to perform in the pre-season, owner Kyle Walsh's last-minute moves paid off to the tune of giving up 220 yards and only 7 points to Kailua in a 33-7 win. The effort was the second-best defensive performance in team history, only losing out to their shutout over Grand Rapids last season, 41-0.
The Intimidators held Kailua to 2/13 on third down and in response to Matsumoto's career-low quarterback rating (40.0, the third lowest all-time in league history), Jaimie Walsh hired a new Offensive Coordinator - Colin Northrup. Orlando's balance on offense (41 passes, 42 runs) speaks to the threat of Orlando's 'O'.
Kevin Walker's 126.0 QB rating has his second highest all-time and Zach Parker and Thomas Gunner each recorded 100-yard outings. Former Intimidator Justin Saunders led defensive numbers with 8 tackles, 4 assisted.
