DALLAS — Averaging 56 points per game this pre-season, Dallas' offense crashed back down to Earth in a 14-9 loss to Oklahoma City, only the team's second home loss in 9 regular season home games.
Oklahoma City - not known for their offensive consistency - out-gained Dallas 394-388, and converted 14 points off of four Dallas turnovers. Their defense held the Stars to two field goals inside the five yard line.
Pete Bruschi's career-long 90-yard TD run, which was this week's No. 1 Top Play, was the longest of his career and helped Bruschi finish with 168 yards on 22 carries. Johnny English was held to a measily 36 yards on 13 carries. Scott King led the receiving stats with 162 yards on 11 grabs. Billy Joe Casper (2 INT) and Adam Stackhouse (12 tackles, 2 assisted, 3 PD, 1 TFL) were defensive standouts.
