BUFFALO — So far this season, the spotlight has been squarly on Wes St. Clair's turnaround - and rightfully so. Monday night at Metro Stadium, however, the spotlight shifted to Park HeeChul, who had a career high 342 rushing yards on 36 carries and scored 5 of New York's 7 touchdowns in a 52-35 victory over Dallas.
For HeeChul, he now leads the league in all-purpose yards and total touchdowns among position players - 1,098 yards and 11 touchdowns (7 rushing, 4 receiving). St. Clair continued his near-perfect stretch at home, compiling his second 140-plus rating while throwing for 219 yards on 20/24 passing. The Knights offense totalled 556 yards and has scored 50-plus points in both home games, the only team to have crossed the 50-point mark all season. Jake Legacyh became the first wide receiver to reach the 30-touchdown milestone in the SFL.
Dallas dug a 28-0 hole in the first quarter and creeped back into the game by outscoring New York 21-3 in the second half, before HeeChul's 5th touchdown run. Dallas, down 42-14 at halftime, trimmed the deficit to 45-35 at one point. Thomas Ranklins had more touchdowns than interceptions for the first time all season and Cesar Cannon scored twice. Asante Doleman caught his first TD of the season. Johnny English, averaging 12 carries coming into the game, received 19 for 99 yards and a touchdown. Dallas becomes the first team in league history to start a season 0-4.
