SFL NETWORK UPDATE REGARDING TWITCH CHANGES

SAN ANTONIO — The SFL would like to take the opportunity to update fans on our plans to navigate through the Twitch adjustments to their services regarding archieved video and third party audio.
Last week, Twitch announced they would be muting third party audio from all archieved videos. The SFL Network previously used bits and pieces of music by Turisas, never claimed that we owned the music and even promoted the band through our youtube channel. Still, Twitch muted our audio - including archieved audio which had no third-part music, which meant that the SFL needed to act in haste to secure licensing to our own theme music, so that we could continue to provide a high-quality broadcast experience.
After sifting through hundreads of tracks, we secured a licensing deal and have proof of purchase of our new theme song, titled "Modern Warfare". We are currently working on improving the audio, making it louder and lengthing some of the tracks after comment and criticism was heard. We hope all of our fans enjoy our new tracks!
The second change Twitch is making is the way they archieve videos. Starting in late August, all of our videos-on-demand will be removed from our Twitch Channel, which means to preserve our history, we would need to upload the videos to YouTube. Due to an extensive amount of third-party audio in our first two seasons worth of games, we have decided to not upload full games into our YouTube archieves, in order to remain in good standing on YouTube, which is where our historical database is being built.
Instead, the SFL will upload the top 30 plays from season 1 just as we did for season 2 at the end of last year. Those top plays will serve as our memories of our first two seasons. Due to this adjustment, the "watch again" links on the schedule page from our first two seasons will be removed. This, a difficult decision, is the best way the SFL can perserve it's history all while staying in good standing with our social media partners.
