BALTIMORE - Henry Hittener became a rich man Friday. After a stellar season in Baltimore, Hittener will return after being re-signed by the Crabs (2-season, $7.4 million deal). The team also restructured free safety Joe Lynn's deal to keep him under contract at least one more season.
Hittener was market-valued as a top three defender and the league's second best linebacker and earned a trip to the SFL All-Star Game as a rookie. Hittener even outperformed teammate gold star linebacker Joe Dazzo and will be paid more than Daz this upcoming season, remaining in his bronze roll.
Joe Lynn - a valued member of the Crabs secondary - earned a $750,000 raise for his time as a Crab in his rookie campaign. He, along with Kenneth Lyons will be sure returners to the Baltimore defensive back core.
Cornerback Michael Sims was not extended or franchise tagged and will enter free agency.
