OKLAHOMA CITY - Most people around the league knew that Pete Bruschi wouldn't be going anywhere. Owner Michael Irvine hopes that he's better than ever before. A new offense will surround him, but Bruschi will return under a 3-season, $15 million deal, beginning next year.

Quarterback Jasper Hart and receivers Ayanojyo Aburatsubo and Chris Taylor will not return, while fullback Tybeerious Bovine will move over to tight end after the Renegades opted in to the second year of his contract.

On the defensive side of the ball, the backline of the secondary will return as strong safety Tank Savage was franchise tagged and free safety Billy Joe Casper was extended. Cornerbacks Cam Michael and D.J. Greenwood enter free agency, so receivers and corners will be the Renegades primary concern in free agency, more than likely. OKC will also be in search for a quarterback who can lead, something the Renegades have yet to have in three attempts at winning a title.

The team has only $11.7 million to spend on five players, but four spots that need filling are bronze. They also become the first team to pay two gold stars $5 million per season - a max contract.
