SAN ANTONIO - The Simulation Football League announced Saturday a new partnership with Typeform, which will power the league's new play-to-win challenges - SFL Sim Pick'ems and SFL Fantasy Football - new to the SFL this year.

"Typeform's presentation is second to none," said Commissioner Cameron Irvine. "We will be able to embed our forms into our website, they are simple to use and will allow us to present our league players and graphics through fantastic display. It's a great day for the SFL."

For the first time, the SFL is getting it's fans involved and invested in the league, it's teams, owners and players.

In SFL Sim Pick'ems, fans and league members will submit answers to questions for point values. Questions range from picking game winners, to more detailed and difficult questions like which receiver will have the most yards over the weekend. A grand prize will be awarded at the end of the season, totaling $200.

In SFL Fantasy Football, owners will be able to choose one quarterback, one running back, two receivers, a tight end and a defense. Fans and league members will accumulate points over a three-week period. At the end of the period, the winner will receieve at least $20, depending upon donations to the league which drives up the price.

Full details of the two play-to-win challenges are below. The Winter 15 season and the play-to-win challenges begin in January.

SFL Sim Pick'ems:

  • Grand prize: $200 at the end of the season.

  • League will purchase andship gift, whether it be NFL tickets, jerseys, memorabilia ormerchandise. Winners will also be able to purchase SFL gear includingshirts and uniforms. Any prize or prizes equal to or under $200 can bepurchased (football related).

  • Each week, participants can fill out the Pick’ems form onthe league website, answering multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank type questions regarding the league. Questions will range from basic pick ‘em to correctly predicting league leaders, upsets, spreads and playmakers. Each question, depending upon it’s difficulty will be worth a certain amount of points. For every correct question, the point value will be awarded.

  • When participants hit milestones, they’ll earn a stripe to their name (as seen on ticker leaderboards during games each week,‪ #‎earnyourstripes‬). Stripes work as bonus points. Each week, a league volunteer(s) will tally up the results from thepick’em from the week before and report back to the league, so that the league can show the leaders on the weekend’s broadcasts.

SFL Fantasy Football:

  • Grand Prize: $20 minimum per every three-week playing period. Donations sent to the league’s PayPal account will be matched by 1/2 (Ex. $10 dollar donation — Commissioner will chip in another $5). Donations +Commissioner contribution will ultimately determine the prize amountfor that playing period. There will be four, three week playing periods (Regular season 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-postseason).

  • Each week, participants will choose one quarterback, one running back, two wide receivers a tight end and a defense with no limitations on who is selected or how many times they are selected. Participants won’t play vs. opponents, but will be playing against the rest of thecompetition as points will accumulate throughout the play period. As your odds increase of winning, money donated can help drive your potential earnings. After the third week, the game resets, with the prize money dropping back down to $20 and the point totals going back down to 0. Each week, a league volunteer(s) will tally up the results from the fantasy football forms from the week before and report back to the league, so that the league can show the leaders on the weekend’s broadcasts. The league will provide additional help on this project.

  • Standard fantasy football point scale (position players: 1 point per 10 yards, 6 points for touchdowns / defenses: 1 point per every sack and turnover forced, 6 points per defensive touchdown, 7 points if allowing less than 10 points) will be used.
