SAN ANTONIO - The Bulldogs wasted no time putting together a plan to get back to full strength, following rookie running back Keanu Tuiasosopo's concussion Monday night in Buffalo, which will sideline him for seven weeks.

The Bulldogs traded rookie inside linebacker Austin Broadway and cornerback Marcus Dorsett to Minneapolis, in exchange for cornerback Mike Sutulovich and outside linebacker Bradford Unsicker. All players are bronze star players. San Francisco freed up $2 million in cap space, giving them an available $4.1 million dollars to sign free agent running back David Badha to a 1-year, $3 million contract.

Badha is the league's second all-time leading rusher behind Pete Bruschi and shockingly was not re-signed by Minneapolis or pursued by San Francisco in free agency. Minneapolis took the cap hit, citing, "the move gives them a bit more scheme flexibility, replaces a pass rusher in Unsicker with more of a run stuffer in Broadway, and gives them added size at the corner spot," said owner Thomas Paterniti.

Koma Keleka spoke for the group of shocked Maulers.

“We have confidence in our coaches and in our owner, in the culture they are trying to create here," Keleka said. "It's surprising to see a trade mid season, sure, but we're just going to make these new guys feel at home as much as possible and start building that chemistry with them. We've got a big test coming up in OKC, so there's no time to lose on that.”

Sutulovich, Unsicker and Dorsett will all be free agents after this season, while Broadway is signed through the summer 2015 season. Minneapolis (2-0) travels to Oklahoma City (1-0) Saturday. It'll be the second time Dorsett and Broadway face the Renegades in three weeks. San Francisco has a bye before their home opener against Orlando in Week 4.
