CLEVELAND - In one of the most dramatic fourth quarters the sport of football has ever seen, the Cleveland Vipers snapped their 12-game, reguar season franchise losing streak by knocking off the Oklahoma City Renegades in front of the hometown Cleveland faithful, 34-27, thanks to 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Johnny English just simply took the game over. With roughly five minutes remaining, English broke off one of the best runs - if not the best run - in league history getting the Vipers into scoring position, which eventually became the game-tying touchdown at 27. Just before English's beast run, Ahmad Arrington, acquired in a trade two weeks ago from San Francisco, intercepted Oklahoma City's Joseph Redfeather in the red zone, not allowing OKC to take a two-score lead.
English finished with 183 yards on 25 carries for 3 touchdowns. He's increased his rushing yards every game this season. His 183 yards was also a new career high, eclipsing his 176 he had in last season's regular season finale overtime loss to San Francisco, the fanchise's final game in Dallas. Tybeerious Bovine exploded for 238 receiving yards in the Reenegade loss, a career high. Bovine is now fifth in the league in receiving yards, No. 1 among tight ends.
