BALTIMORE - The Crabs have a nack for keeping games close this winter. When it's time to step up, Baltimore has answered every call thus far, and they did again Monday night, defeating the Cleveland Vipers on "Old School Night" in an old-school, defensive showdown, 21-19. Baltimore stopped a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter that would have tied the game. The Crabs are now 2-0 in the Commissioner's Cup.
Baltimore erased a 10-point fourth quarter deficit - another slow start - mainly thanks to Nick T. Quick, who scored 2 touchdowns on 6 grabs for 138 yards. Elliott Snider recorded 29 carries for 135 yards and Baltimore's other score. The Crabs got a big game from Joe Dazzo (12 tackles, 4 assisted, 2 TFL) and Henry Hittener (8 tackles, 5 assisted, 1 TFL). Eddie Gauge had an interception.
Johnny English was held under 100 yards - 99 yards on 34 carries. Scott King was held in check to, averaging just 14 yards per catch (8 receptions, 112 yards, 0 TD's). Ahmad Arrington was once again the big star for Cleveland, recording 12 tackles and an interception, to go along with 3 tackles for loss. Cleveland falls to 1-3, Baltimore improves to 3-1, with all of their victories being decided by 9 points or less.
