BALTIMORE - The Crabs defense played like a championship-caliber defense Saturday in their 27-13 victory over Oklahoma City. The Renegades offense looked like the same Renegade offense over the past three years: A team struggling to find their identity in the passing game.
Mike Dazzo had no trouble throwing the ball for the Crabs. Dazzo passed for 346 yards on 30 of 39 completions and threw three touchdowns. Nick T. Quick was his primary weapon all day, gashing OKC's secondary on 11 receptions totaling 174 yards and two scores. Joseph Redfeather passed for just 81 yards and the Renegades offense as a whole accounted for a mere 200 yards of production - a SFL season low.
The Crab linebacker duo of Joe Dazzo and Henry Hittener was just as lethal. Dazzo had 7 tackles, 4 assisted and 3 tackles for loss. Hittener racked up 9 tackles, 4 assisted and a TFL. The Renegades defense was paced by Billy Joe Casper's 10 tackles. The Crabs ran 75 plays to the Renegades' 55. The Renegades fell to 2-4, needing to win out to join the top-4 conversation, with San Francisco and Orlando on their plate. The Crabs have clinched a playoff spot, still chasing the No. 1 seeded Maulers.
