SAN FRANCISCO - Pete Bruschi carried the Oklahoma City Renegades all afternoon long but in the end, it was Joseph Redfeather who stepped up and became a leader against his former team. The Renegades' 43 yard touchdown to Chris Taylor with 1:12 to go helped Oklahoma City battle back to claim a 30-25 victory Saturday, keeping the Renegades postseason hopes alive.
Bruschi rushed for a season-high 337 yards on 30 carries, scoring three touchdowns. Redfeather threw just 19 passes but got the job done when it mattered. Linebacker Adam Stackhouse intercepted San Francisco's Jasper Hart on the Bulldogs' final drive. It was his first interception of his career. He leads the league with 38 passes defended, but never was able to get his hands on an INT. He picked a good time to get the job done.
For San Francisco, rookie running back Keanu Tuiasosopo made his return from a concussion injury but struggled, averaging 3.3 yards per carry (33 carries, 109 yards) with a long run of 13 yards. Bradford Unsicker led the Bulldogs defense with 8 tackles. Mike Sutulovich played a big role against his former team, intercepting a pass and recovering a Bruschi fumble. The Renegades can make the playoffs with a win next week against Orlando. San Francisco can also clinch a playoff spot with a victory over Honolulu.
