SAN ANTONIO - The Simulation Football League owners have begun the historical process of accepting a league-record four expansion teams into the fold for next season. The four winning bids for franchises will be announced at halftime during the SFL Championship Game, Sunday April 19.gfgfhgf

The following cities have submitted official bids for SFL franchises: Boston, Chicago, D.C., Houston, Indianapolis, Louisville, Miami, Philadelphia, Santa Fe and Tallahassee.

Owners will first select the 9th franchise by majority vote, than re-vote for the 10th franchise by majority vote, etc, until the four teams have been selected. Potential owners submitted a variety of media - written applications, photos of their potential team and promo videos for their franchise. Teams are being judged on gameday activity, past sim football experience, social media outreach and character.

"We are tremendously excited to come to these important decisions regarding the future of our league," said Commissioner Cameron Irvine. "I have full trust in our current owners that they will make the right decisions, selecting a variety of unique new faces. We can't wait to get the ball rolling on next season."
